Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother Dennis Duffy:

Br. Dennis Duffy was ordained a priest in 1997, who served in the Diocese of Fresno. According to media reports, , a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Barbara, was accused of sexually abusing a minor in 1975 while serving at St. Francis in Whiteriver, AZ. He was removed from ministry in 1990 with a safety plan; however, he continued to work within different Dioceses following the credible allegations of child sexual abuse.

Br. Duffy was named publicly on the Franciscan Friars Province of Santa Barbara’s List of Franciscan Friars from the St. Barbara Province with Credibly (sic) Claims of Sexual Abuse of a Minor. According to the list, the sexual abuse allegations were reported in 1990.  He is also listed on the Diocese of Gallup and the Diocese of Oakland’s 2019 lists of Credibly Accused Clergy of Child Sexual Abuse. His name was also included on the Diocese of Stockton Revised List of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse released in November 2020.

Br. Duffy lives in California. His current status as a brother and whether he has access to children are unknown.
