Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother Dominic Quigley:

According to media reports, in September 2014, Br. Dominic Quigley, a member of the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn order was suspended from his position as a sacristan at American Martyrs parish in Queens amid child sexual abuse allegations. He had taught there for more than 30 years. He was also fired from a position he held at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. 

The alleged victim, a male student at St. Francis Prep in New York, said Quigley had repeatedly sexually abused him on four occasions in 2003 when he was a teacher at the school. The District Attorney launched an investigation and after the story ran in the media, two more alleged victims of Quigley’s came forward to DA investigators. The status of the case is unknown.

Quigley reportedly left St. Francis Prep and was assigned as Secretary-General of the International Franciscan Conference in Rome. In 2016, he celebrated his Golden Jubilee as a Franciscan. He retired in 2018. His current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
