Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother James Wisecaver:

Br. James Wisecaver was a priest in the Diocese of Monterey. In 2019, Br. James Wisecaver’s name was included on the Diocese of Monterey’s 2019 List of Credibly Accused Clergy of Sexual Abuse.  Although the Diocese of Monterey has not released any information about Wisecaver’s years he spent in his assignment history, the list noted that there was a report received in 1997 against Br. James Wisecaver in reference to abuse that took place that same year. No additional information about the age/gender of his alleged victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Wisecaver’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is known.

Br. Wisecaver died in 2015.
