Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother Joaquin Moreno:

Br. Joaquin Moreno was named publicly as accused by the Franciscans’ Santa Barbara Province list in 2019. Notes of the allegation stated that Moreno sexually abused a minor in 1996 while he was assigned in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Moreno’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

Moreno is also listed on the Diocese of Oakland 2019 list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor. In addition, he was also named on the Diocese of Stockton list of clergy who served in the Diocese of Stockton and faced allegations elsewhere.

Moreno left the order in 2008 and was laicized in 2010.
