Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother Roberto Peguero:

Br. Robert Peguero was a Franciscan priest was ordained a priest in 1975 who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, two survivors have come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Br. Peguero in 1987, when he worked at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Santa Paula. his name was listed on the Franciscans’ Santa Barbara Province list and on the Diocese of Oakland’s list in 2019. It notes allegations reported in 1990 of the sexual abuse of minors from 1987 to 1988.

Peguero left the Order in 1995. In 2014, it was reported that he was living in Zapotlanejo, Mexico. His status as a priest, his current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
