Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Robert Voelkle:

In a release from the Jesuit order, Father Robert Voelkle was listed as a priest who had abused minors in the 1960s and 1970s. Records do not indicate that Voelkle admitted to the abuse, but that the claims were found credible after investigation.

The list didn’t make clear where and when the abuse had occurred, however, Voelkle was a teacher at McQuaid Jesuit school, a school within the Diocese of Rochester, during the majority of the 1960s.

The priest left the Jesuit order in 1985, but it is unclear whether he remained active in any type of ministry after he left the order.

Voelkle died in 2016 before any of the allegations against him were made public.
