Kopec was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 1929 and incardinated into the Diocese of Allentown when it was created in 1961.  According to the Diocese of Allentown, it received an allegation involving Kopec sometime after his death in 1968, but no additional details have been provided.  Kopec was not discussed in the most recent grand jury report.
