Father Chester Stachewicz was ordained to the priesthood in 1972. According to media reports, in March 2018, the Diocese of Buffalo released an updated list of priests who have been accused of child sexual abuse. Father Stachewicz’s name was included for the first time. The list did not disclose any information regarding the specific allegations against Father Stachewicz or any of his prior assignments. According to the Diocese, Father Stachewicz died in 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His obituary states that he joined the Orthodox-Catholic Church of America in 1989, where he worked as a priest in New Mexico until his death. He was also a founding member and the Abbott of Holy Trinity Orthodox Community.
