Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Delisle Lemieux:

Fr. Delisle Lemieux was ordained a priest in 1926, and served in multiple parishes in the Archdiocese of Denver. According to media reports, in October 2019, the Colorado Attorney General released a detailed report of a special investigation into the handling of child sexual abuse allegations by Colorado’s three Catholic dioceses.  For the first time, Fr. Delisle Lemieux was publicly identified as a priest with a documented allegation of sexual abuse.

According to the Report, Lemieux was accused of abuse in 2017.  The victim says he was a 13-year-old altar boy at Notre Dame parish in Denver when he was sexually abused by Lemieux on a four-day camping trip in approximately 1969.

He said that Lemieux threatened to harm his family in various ways if he ever told anyone what happened, and that no one would believe him.

Lemieux is dead, according to the Report.
