Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Edward Walker:

Father Edward Walker was ordained to the priesthood in 1936. According to media reports, in March 2018, he was named on the Diocese of Buffalo‘s list of priests who were removed from ministry, or who were retired or left the ministry amidst allegations of sexual abuse of a minor. The list only included living priests with one accusation, or deceased priests with more than one substantial claim against them. He died in 2002.

In August 2019, Father Walker was named in a lawsuit filed under the New York Child Victims Act, alleging that he had repeatedly sexually abused a boy for a decade, beginning when the boy was 12-years-old in 1953. The exact location of the abuse is unknown, but Father Walker was assigned to St. Joseph’s Church in Fredonia at the time.
