Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Francis Bell: Father Francis Bell was a priest of the Diocese of Albany who worked in Glencross, South Dakota. In March 2019, Father Bell’s name first appeared publicly on the Diocese of Rapid City’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. No information on the allegation regarding age/gender of the victim was given. It notes that in April 1993, the Diocese of Rapid City received an allegation of abuse dating back from 1965 to 1967. Father Bell died in September 1967.
