Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Francis McCloskey:

Father Francis McCloskey was sued in 1994 in the massive RICO pleading filed by Steve Rabino against the Diocese of Camden. McCloskey was accused of sexually abusing a minor boy and, later, sexually abusing the boy’s daughter.

Other than these brief details, very little is known of McCloskey’s activities within the church and the Diocese has not released the records of any allegations made against McCloskey. His name does appear on the Diocese of Camden’s February 2019 list of credibly accused priests. According to Bishop Sullivan, the list, “includes those who admitted to the abuse, those who were found guilty after a trial in the church courts or the civil courts, and others against whom the evidence was so overwhelming as to be virtually unquestionable.”

McCloskey’s portrait was removed from St. Rose in Haddon Heights, New Jersey sometime during 2010.

McCloskey died in 1974.
