Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father James Thompson:

According to media reports, Father James Thompson He was a member of the Vincentian Religious Order. He served at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Phoenix from 1964-1965. At that time, the parish was in the Diocese of Tucson.

Father Stencil’s name appeared on the Diocese of Tucson’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors in February 2004. No information on the allegations against each priest, including age/gender of the victims at the time of the alleged abuse was released. The Vincentian Religious Order removed him from priesthood that year.

He died in 1982.
