Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father John J O’Sullivan:

Fr. John J O’Sullivan was ordained in the Diocese of Brooklyn and is named in a 1994 lawsuit against the Diocese of Camden as a known abuser. When he came to work in the Diocese of Camden is not clear.

Other than the year of his ordination and the years of his sick leave (1988, 1990, and 1995), very little is known of O’Sullivan’s activities within the church and the Diocese of Camden has not released the records of any allegations made against O’Sullivan. His name does not appear on the Diocese of Camden’s February 2019 list of credibly accused priests.

O’Sullivan died in 2000. According to his obituary in the New York Times, he was a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn in good standing.
