Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Robert J LeFevre:

According to media reports, in December 2003, two brothers accused Fr. Robert J LeFevre of propositioning them for sex on separate occasions in 1969, when they were fifteen and seventeen years old. They originally complained to the Diocese of Albany in 1997, and then again in 2002.

The Sexual Misconduct Review Board immediately cleared LeFevre of the accusations and church officials said he “remains a priest in good standing in the Albany Diocese and will remain at his current assignment.” A Diocese spokesman said brothers were informed in 1998 or 1999 that Father LeFevre was cleared of wrongdoing following an investigation.

He retired in October 2005 and died in November 2014.
