Summary of Abuse Allegations against Monsignor Edwin Fagowski:

Monsignor Edwin Fagowski was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo in 1942. He served on the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate in South Dayton, Leon, Ripley and Sherman. He was assistant pastor of multiple parishes including Assumption, St. Casimir, St. John Kanty, St. Lawrence, Queen of Peace, St. Stanislaus and visitation parishes, in Buffalo; Holy Trinity, Niagara Falls; and Holy Cross, Salamanca. He served in St. Augustine Parish for twenty-three years until he died in December 1990 at the age of 72.

According to media reports, in August 2019, Monsignor Fagowski was one of five priests affiliated with the Diocese of Buffalo who was publicly accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act, of sexually molesting a child at St. Benedict Church in Bennington, New York. Details of the allegation, including the age/gender of the victim, or when and where the alleged abuse occurred, have not been disclosed.
