Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Robert Gaudio:

Father Robert Gaudio was placed on leave from St. Christopher’s Church in the Diocese of Rochester in 20019, after an allegation that he sexually abused a St. Andrew’s altar boy beginning in 1979, when the boy was age 14.

The victim stated that the priest’s initial interactions with him were normal and that Gaudio touched him the way that friends would interact with one another. However, the touching progressed and the victim said Gaudio would do things to him that made him feel embarrassed and ashamed.

When the young boy resisted Gaudio’s advances, the victim says that the priest lost all interest in him as a friend and terminated him as an altar boy.

Although he’s on administrative leave, Gaudio is still listed as the pastor at St. Christopher’s Church.
