Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Anthony Bolger:

Fr. Anthony Bolger was ordained a priest in 1969, for the Diocese of Santa Rosa where he worked as a high school chaplain and university instructor. He was then excardinated to the Diocese of Honolulu, where he served for 35 years. According to media reports, in 2013, a lawsuit was filed alleging that he abused a boy from 1978-1981 when he was 12 years old at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and St. Anthony School in Kailua, HI. At that time, Bolger was both an associate pastor and a teacher at the school.

Since his retirement in 2002, multiple allegations of child sexual abuse surfaced, and Fr. Bolger was sent to treatment. Upon completion, he was placed back in Hawaii parishes with no restrictions and access to children.

Fr. Bolger died while living in Tijuana, Mexico, in 2015.
