Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Augusto Cortez:

Father Augusto Cortez was ordained a priest of the Vincentian order. According to media reports, in June 2008, he was arrested and charged with touching the breast of a 12-year-old girl in May 2008, while he worked at St. John the Baptist School in Bushwick, New York. He was sentenced to six years of probation, and was laicized.

In June 2014, he was accused of abusing a 6-year-old girl at her home on Long Island. 

He fled the country in 2015, and was found in Guatemala and extradited to the US where he was arrested in 2017.

His current whereabouts are unknown.
