Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Bryan Gray:

Fr. Bryan Keith Gray was ordained a priest in 1979, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. According to media reports, in March 2019, he was the subject of credible allegations of sexual abuse of one or more minors or vulnerable adults which allegedly occurred within the Diocese of Baton Rouge after its formation in 1961.

The allegation was received in March 1992. The alleged abuse occurred during the late 1970’s – early 1980’s when Gray was assigned to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA. No further information was released about the gender/age of the victim or the number of people who have come forward. Following the allegation, Fr. Gray was placed on permanent leave, and his priestly faculties were removed.

Fr. Gray played the organ at various churches in Lake Charles, LA: First Christian Church, Christian Science Church, Immaculate Conception Church, and McNeese State University Catholic Student Center. After he left the priesthood, he moved to Little Rock, AR where he remained until his death in October 2020.
