Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Carl Faria:

Fr. Carl Faria worked in the Diocese of Monterey. In 2019, Fr. Faria was included on the Diocese of Monterey’s list of priests named as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Church documents show that incidents of sexual assault involving Faria occurred between 1968 and 1971, and again between 1973 and 1976. It was reported that the Diocese became aware of these incidents in 2002. That same year, the Church removed Fr. Faria’s faculties.
