Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Carmelo Camenzuli:

Fr. Carmelo Camenzuli was ordained in 1966. He was an extern Diocesan Priest for the Archdiocese of Arequipa, Peru and served in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. According to media reports, he was first named publicly as accused on its list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse in 2019. The allegation against him was received on May 18, 2000. The abuse occurred in the 1980’s while he was assigned to St. Joseph Cathedral. Fr. Camenzuli left the diocese in 1985. No further information has been released about the age/gender of the accusers or the number of victims who have come forward.

He died in 1998.
