Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Charles A Gaffigan:

Fr. Charles A Gaffigan has been accused of sexually abusing a minor from 1992 to 1994 at Holy Infancy Church in Lake Luzerne, NY, where Gaffigan served as pastor.

According to a recent press release, Gaffigan then went to Immaculate Conception Church in Corinth, NY, and retired in 2011. After his retirement, he offered his priestly service throughout the Albany Diocese, including at St. Adalbert’s parish in Schenectady, NY. No information on the allegation regarding the age/gender of the victim was given.

Fr. Gaffigan died in 2015 after battling cancer at the age of 79. He is one of the 52 named in a civil lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Albany in June 2020.
