Fr. Christopher Eggleton was ordained in 1988.

In 2002, Eggleton was removed from his assignment in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana diocese after a civil suit was filed in Miami, alleging sexual abuse by Eggleton in 1990-1991 in Florida.

In 2004, the archdiocese announced that Eggleton was found “innocent of all charges by a Miami court” and was to begin work as prior for the Dominican House in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In 2017 the Dominican Order announced Eggleton as the New Socius of the Master for the United States. As of 2018, Eggleton was the Promoter General of the Rosary.
