Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Daniel Meehan:

Father Daniel Meehan was ordained a priest in 1929 and served in the Archdiocese of Newark. He spent 20 years as a Navy Roman Catholic chaplain, retiring as a captain. According to media reports, in 2021, five new lawsuits against the Archdiocese of Newark were filed alleging child sexual abuse. Among the five, Father Meehan was accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old in 1967 and 1968 while serving at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken, NJ. No further details about the abuse have been released. Father Meehan died in 1976 at the age of 72.
