In 2011, Fr. Daniel T Keohane was placed on administrative leave after an allegation was discovered in his personal file. According to media reports, the allegation noted the sexual abuse of a 17-year-old girl that took place in the 1970s. Keohane was assigned to the Church of the Epiphany in San Francisco, California and the minor was an Epiphany parishioner.

Keohane was placed on leave since the archdiocesan review board found the allegation to be deemed credible. However, Keohane denied the allegation.
