Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Dominic Savino:

Father Dominic Savino was ordained a priest of the Carmelites religious order in 1958, who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, at least eight people have accused him of child sexual abuse. He has been named in three civil lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse from approximately 1977 to 1985 at our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He denied all allegations. The LAPD has also investigated a claim that he sexually abused an altar boy in the 1970s while serving at Santa Teresita Church in Los Angeles.

Prior to serving in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he worked at De Sales High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and is believed to have sexually abused at least five children there. In 2002, a mother called the Archdiocese of Los Angeles hotline alleging that Father Savino “mistreated” her twin sons in the 1970s while they were students at Crespi Carmelite High School. He was promptly removed from his position as President shortly after. His name was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests credibly accused of child sexual abuse. In 2017 it is believed Father Savino was living in Sherman Oaks, CA. His current whereabouts are unknown.
