Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Edward F English:

Fr. Edward F English was named in a civil lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Albany in June 2020. According to media reports, he was accused of sexually abusing a minor from approximately 1962 to 1964 while working at St. George in Pittstown, New York. English also served as the Albany Diocesan Director of Radio and TV. He died in 31 years before allegations surfaced.

Very little is known of English’s activities within the church as the Diocese of Albany has not released any information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims or the nature of the alleged sexual abuse.

English died in 1989.
