According to media reports, he was named in at least one civil lawsuit alleging child sexual abuse that occurred in from 1979 to 1980 while he worked at St. Ferdinand in San Fernando. His personnel file released in July 2013 indicated that he had received extensive treatment, during which he admitted that he had been in trouble due to his sexual behavior.
