Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Gregory Mosca:

Fr. Gregory Mosca was ordained a religious order priest with the Olivetan Benedictines in 1970, who served in the Diocese of Lake Charles.  After his ordination, he served at the Abbey of San Miniato in Florence, Italy where he was the Vice Master of novices for American Students.

According to media reports, in 1995, Fr. Gregory Mosca and Br. Rene Dorsey were accused in a lawsuit of molesting an altar boy. The alleged abuse occurred in the late 1970’s when the victim was between 10-15 years old.

Fr. Mosca’s name was included on the Diocese of Lake Charles 2019 list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. It noted allegations of child sexual abuse in 1980-1982 against Fr. Mosca were received in 1986 and 1993. The alleged abuse involved more than one victim, and it occurred at St. Henry in Lake Charles and in Houston, TX. Information regarding the age/gender of his alleged victim(s) and the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was not provided by Diocese of Lake Charles.

Fr. Mosca was removed from active ministry in 1986. He continued to serve as a priest in Mount Vernon, NY.

Fr. Gregory Mosca died in 2018.
