Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Harris M. Findlay:

In February, 2019, Father Harris M. Findlay’s name first appeared on the Dioceses of Richmond and Arlington’s lists of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. An allegation was made after Findlay’s death in 1980, but no additional information about that allegation – or even the number of allegations against Findlay – has been provided by the Dioceses. According to the Richmond Diocese, Findlay was laicized but, again, no additional information has ever been provided about the reasons for his abandonment of the priesthood.
