Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Hilary Cooper:

Fr. Hilary Cooper was ordained in 1965 for the Benedictines in Kansas City. He was incardinated for the Diocese of Oakland in 1976. In 2019, his name appeared on the Diocese of Oaklands’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It noted an incident of child sexual abuse that occurred in 1978. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Copper’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

Cooper was removed from ministry in 1995 and has been directed to a life of prayer and penance.
