Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father J. Donald Pearce:

Fr. Donald Pearce, a Jesuit priest, served as a Spanish teacher, prefect of discipline, and president from 1960-1968. He retired from ministry in 2003, due to poor health.

According to media reports, in November 2018, Pearce’s name appeared publicly on the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It noted an allegation of abuse in the 1960s was received in 2003. No information regarding the allegation including the age/gender of the victims was disclosed. His name also appeared on the Jesuits’ Central and Southern Province’s list in December 2018.

Pearce died in 2016.
