Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father James A. Delbel:

Named in a 2019 lawsuit against the Diocese of Ogdensburg, Fr. James A. Delbel was accused of sexually abusing a minor between 9-10 years old in 1990 and 1991. Fr. Delbel served at St. Mary’s Cathedral and St. Regis Falls during the time of alleged abuse. No further details have been released.

Fr. Delbel died in 2013 at the age of 69 after battling cancer for many years.
