Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father James Larche:

The Diocese of Ogdensburg released a list of 28 priests who were credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or a vulnerable adult on November 13th, 2018. One priest that was first named publicly for abuse by the list was Father James Larche.

The Diocese of Ogdensburg did not include the number of alleged victims or the time frame that the alleged abuse occurred. The only information the diocese released about Father Larche was that he was removed from ministry in 2000, and is still living.

According to news reports, in 2012, Father Larche moved to Vermont and got a job as a nurse at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He continues to deny all allegations against him. Each name on the list has been internally investigated and the allegations against them have been found to be credible by the Diocesan Review Board.
