Summary of Allegations against Fr. James Noel:

James Noel was not identified or discussed in the 2018 grand jury report.  However, his name was included in the August 2018 list of accused priests distributed by the Diocese of Harrisburg. Unfortunately, that list provides very little information about the allegation(s) against Noel, except to say that the first allegation against him was made after his death.  No information was provided as to the gender/age of his victims, or his assignment at the time of the alleged abuse.

It appears that Noel died in 1980. As far as we can tell, he was a priest in good standing and in active ministry at St. Joseph (Berwick, PA) at the time.
