Father John M. Keeney was a Norbertine priest. He died in 1977. According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ report in 2004, he was accused of sexually abusing one minor child from 1974 to 1976. The details of the allegations, including where the abuse occurred, are unknown. Father Kenney has been named in civil lawsuits filed in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Diocese of Baker in Oregon. His name appeared on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.
