Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father John Halpin:

Father John Halpin was ordained a priest in 1954. According to media reports, in August 2019, Father John Halpin was accused in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a child between the ages of 8 to 10, from 1972 to 1973. The child was a student of St. Rosalie’s in Hampton Bays in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. There is no further information regarding the gender or location of the alleged sexual abuse.

Father Halpin died in August 2002.
