Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. John Rutledge:

Fr. John Rutledge was ordained a Vincentians priest in 1951, and served in the Diocese of Charlotte. According to media reports, in December 2018, the Archdiocese of Mobile, Alabama, named him on its list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse for an allegation from Auburn, Alabama, in 1968. In the early 1970s, he served at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greensboro (called Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church until 1972). There are no documented abuse allegations during his ministry in the Diocese of Charlotte.
