Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Rossell:

Father Joseph Rossell was born and ordained in Spain as a member of the Sons of Holy Family. He came to the United States and began working in the Diocese of San Diego in 1953 and was incardinated in 1954. He was transferred several times during his first few years in the Diocese. His final move was to St. Anthony in National City, where he remained until his retirement in 1972.

In March 2007, his name was included in the Diocese of San Diego’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. No specific information has been found as to actual allegations.

In October 2010, as part of a settlement with survivors of clergy sexual abuse, the Diocese of San Diego released his personnel file.

Father Rossell died in June 1982.
