Fr. Joseph W Paulantonio was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Marquette, Michigan in 1945. According to media reports, in November 2018, he was named on the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.

It noted the alleged abuse occurred while he was working at St. Jude in Atlanta, Georgia, in the 1970s. Paulantonio retired in 1978. His whereabouts from the time of his retirement until his death in 1997 are unknown.
