Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Juan Carlos Esquivel:

Fr. Juan Carlos Esquivel worked in the Diocese of Monterey. In 2019, Fr. Juan Carlos Esquivel was included on the Monterey Diocese’s list as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Very little is known of Esquivel’s activities within the church as the Diocese of Monterey has not released any information about the year Esquivel was ordained nor his assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Esquivel’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

It is only noted that there was a report received in 2007 about an incident that took place during that same year. Esquivel’s status is listed as a former seminarian.
