Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Michael J Miller:

In August of 2001, Fr. Michael J Miller was arrested for sexually propositioning a 14-year-old boy for oral sex. He was charged with criminal solicitation and endangering the welfare of a child. Miller was serving as the Chaplain at the maximum-security Great Meadow Correctional Institution. After news of the arrest, he was placed on a leave of absence and removed from any priestly assignments within the Diocese of Albany. It was also reported that Miller had undergone residential treatment the year prior.

Miller pleaded guilty to all charges on December 3rd, 2003, and was sentenced to only 5 years of probation.

His name has been included on the Diocese of Albany list of clergy credibly accused while serving, which was released in November of 2018.

Miller’s current whereabouts and whether or not he has access to children are unknown.
