Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Pedro Jove:

Fr. Pedro Jove was accused, along with Rev. Gustavo Miyares, in a lawsuit filed in 2006 of abusing a 14-year-old boy, in 1981 and 1982. At the time, the accuser was attending a camp at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida. The abuse allegedly occurred at a Palm Beach County seminary, a Miami rectory, and a condominium in the Keys.

According to media reports, in 2006, Jove was referred to as “a former priest who runs a nonprofit Miami-Dade agency for senior citizens”. As of 2006, Jove left the Archdiocese 20 years prior and “formally left the priesthood” 12 years prior.

Very little is known of Jove’s activities within the church as the Archdiocese of Miami has not released any information about Jove’s assignment history nor the year he was ordained.

As of 2020, Jove is the executive director of the Alliance for Aging in Miami, Florida.
