Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Peter Marron:

Father Peter Marron, a native of Ireland, came to the United States at the age of 16. He was ordained a priest of the Augustinian order in 1936, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of San Diego. According to media reports, in March 2007, his name was included on the diocese’s list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse.  No specific information can be found about the allegations against him or the number of victims found.

In October 2010, as part of a settlement with survivors of clergy sexual abuse, the Diocese of San Diego released his personnel file.

In January 2020, Father Marron was named in a lawsuit filed by two women claiming the priest molested them from 1976 through 1977 or 1978.

Peter Marron died in March 1998 at the age of 91.  His brother, Father Michael Marron is also an accused abuser.
