Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Phil Sunseri:

Fr. Phil Sunseri was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1964 who served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of San Jose. According to media reports, in 2018, he was first named publicly as accused on the Diocese of San Jose list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse.

He denied the allegations and dismissed them as a “misunderstanding”. One of the accusers was a 14-year old altar boy who was abused at Holy Family Church in San Jose, California.
