Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Richard John Bohm:

Father Richard John Bohm was a funeral director before being ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo at the American Seminary in Louvain Belgium in 1965. He was a teacher and guidance counselor, principal at Baker-Victory High School in Lackawanna, New York and assistant principal at Bishop Turner High School in Buffalo. In 1982, he was appointed the director of Priest Personnel of the diocese. He died at the age of 51 in 1984.

According to media reports, in October 2019, his name was included in the Diocese of Buffalo’s updated list of priests with substantiated claims of sexual abuse of a minor. The original list was published in March 2018, followed by the first update in November 2018. No information regarding the allegations was disclosed, however, the list includes deceased priests only if they have more than one allegation made against them.
