Fr. Robert Taylor was named in a civil lawsuit filed against the Diocese of Albany in June of 2020 along with other clerics. He was accused of sexually abusing a minor in 1981 while serving at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Albany, NY. No further information on the allegation regarding the age/gender of the victim nor the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was given.

Taylor was still an active priest at St. Margaret Mary in Albany, New York when he died in 1993.
