Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Ron Wiecek:

Fr. Ron Wiecek was ordained a priest of the Holy Order of the Most Precious Blood in 1971, who served in the Diocese of Santa Rosa. According to media reports, in 2010, the Diocese of Monterey recalled him to the order’s heaadquarters in Ohio after allegations surfaced of an incident some 30 years prior of Wiecek attempting to pick up a gay man. The diocese said the priest had not been informed of the allegation before allowing Wiecek to serve in the area, and chose to take action because Wiecek had not been forthcoming with the allegation.

In 1974, Fr. Wiecek was teaching at a school in the Diocese of Santa Rosa, where he had “overzealously spanked” a young boy. No further details have been released.

His name was included on the Diocese of Santa Rosa 2019 list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse
