Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Ruben Rodriguez:

According to media reports, in 2001, Fr. Ruben Rodriguez was one of four Carmelite priests named in a lawsuit alleging that he paid a 16-year-old boy for sex between January 1996 and August 1998 at St. Simon Stock in the Bronx, New York. The lawsuit stated that they used alcohol and gay child pornography to “groom” and individually seduce the teenager. The boy witnessed the priests participate in “group masturbation” and was threatened with harm if he told anyone. Rodriguez was described as the “ringleader”.

The case was settled in 2001. In 1999, Rodriguez reportedly went back home to Puerto Rico. Since then he was believed to be active in the ministry in San Juan. His current whereabouts are unknown.
